Lvl14 barbs are a powerhouse even alone. Have a member with lvl14 barbs and an lvl5 BM. One player recks people now and is shocked at how different attacking feels. He thanked me for the advice of maxing out his Barbs before worrying about BM upgrades during this event.
4600 cups – LVL 14 barbs wreck everything, I even 2-star gamers. 60% two stars are considered a mediocre score, and you typically need 75%+ to have a better than even chance of winning.
One player started at about 2800 and hit 3600 in just 24 hours since taking my BH7 base and maxing his barbs out. He is still going and doesn’t have nearly my defence levels and other troop levels yet and the lower BM lvl. But getting triples off and on and having near 8 streak wins is making him enjoy the BH more now.
I am also at 4600+ currently winning at minimum 2/3 of matches I do per day pretty effectively unless I just bung it up a few times or am distracted at work. That will likely slow when not attacking every 8 hours for loot tho.

In this video, the Builder hall is placed in the middle of the base. And it is guarded with main defensive structures like Air Bombs, Crusher, and multi mortar.
As more buildings are deployed, it becomes harder to get a high percentage against your base. Matches are made solely on trophy count, so your base will face BH9s as you rise in trophies no matter your BH level. Only BH9 with a maxed lab can make maxed troops. Maxed barbs (cheapest to max) can 100% a BH6 in less than a minute (I have tested this). There is zero loot penalty for rushing the BH. Loot is easier as you gain trophies. As already mentioned, a 6th builder is available.
There are no loot penalties from attacking lower townhalls, unlike the main village. Matchmaking only takes trophy count into account (no base weight), and you’ll get new camps and extra collectors. There are no downsides.
Summary
The Best Defense is a Good Offense. From time to time, our players create more complicated bases. They are eager to create a stronghold Town Halls for their Wars. As we roam around some War Clans, we collected the most outstanding War Bases.

As mentioned in the beginning, if you have a ring base layout you should abandon that – it’s not up to date anymore and easy to beat. Use one of these fresh base layouts; especially the first farming base layout serves me well when farming Dark Elixir.
