From Boise State University
Boise State is famous for our blue football field, but that Blue Turf is more than just a place where we cheer on our Broncos. It’s a symbol of the innovative mindset that drives all we do.
We call it ‘Blue Turf Thinking.’ And it’s open to anyone and everyone who dares to think differently.
It’s about breaking norms, blazing new trails and imagining the possibilities of what could be. It’s having the opportunities of a big city without giving up the excitement of the great outdoors. It’s maximizing your potential and achieving more with the support of a tight-knit community. It’s taking risks that matter and solving real-world problems.
Located in the heart of Idaho’s rapidly growing capital city, Boise State is a public, metropolitan research university with over 200 areas of study led by accomplished faculty. Discover for yourself why we've been recognized nationally for cultivating a culture of innovation and blazing new trails.

Boise State University is a vibrant institution set in Boise, Idaho, known for its strong academic programs, especially in engineering, business, and health sciences. The campus is distinguished by its unique blue turf at Albertsons Stadium and offers modern facilities supporting both academic and extracurricular activities. Students benefit from practical experience through internships and research opportunities, with faculty praised for their dedication and accessibility. The supportive community and balance between academic rigor and a friendly atmosphere are highlights. While the size of the university can sometimes feel impersonal, and specialized programs may be limited, Boise State provides a solid educational experience with ample opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Benefits and Drawbacks of My Experience at Boise State University
I've had the chance to go through the highs and lows of college life at Boise State University, a rapidly expanding university. Though, like every university, Boise State has its strengths and weaknesses. All things considered, my experience here has been good.
The campus atmosphere at Boise State University is among the biggest benefits of enrolling. The school offers students a scenic environment because of its lovely location by the Boise River. The football field's distinctive blue turf is a special element that boosts school spirit and instills a feeling of pride in both students and alumni. Additionally, the campus is kept up nicely, with contemporary amenities that make it a welcoming space for socializing and studying.

Boise State University captivates me with its supportive community and robust pre-nursing program. The university's inclusive environment fosters cultural exchange, enriching my academic journey from Venezuela. The faculty's dedication and modern facilities enhance learning, preparing me well for nursing. Yet, I envision improvements in diversity initiatives, ensuring equitable opportunities for all students. Enhanced resources for international students, such as language support and cultural integration programs, would further enrich our campus experience. Boise State's commitment to excellence and my aspirations in nursing make it an inspiring choice, with potential to further elevate through inclusive practices.
