| COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT | Massillon, Ohio | Paquelet Funeral Home has been serving the Massillon, Ohio community since 1929. Located south of Akron, Massillon has a small town vibe and residents are very proud of their local sports teams, high schools and small businesses. Our associates have over 87 years of combined experience in funeral service. Our longest-tenured associate is Funeral Director Chris Breda, who joined the funeral home in 2004.In addition to serving their community with compassion and excellence at our funeral home, our staff members enjoy a wide variety of activities outside of work. Many are involved in local churches, and everyone enjoys supporting local restaurants and attending high school sports. On difficult days, the team encourages each other by reminding everyone to breathe, ask for help when they need it, and do one thing at a time. Some days require the approach of eating an elephant…one bite at a time! The team enjoys their morning meetings together, planning the day and keeping things fun. Other staff traditions include themed dinner nights and game nights. Paquelet provides a robust apprenticeship experience. Our apprentices gain hands-on experience working with families from many different backgrounds, and have the opportunity to work with all our funeral directors, gaining multiple perspectives on funeral service. The funeral home enjoys the support of many repeat families, who tell our staff that the Paquelet service is unlike any other. They often hear that the team takes care of people like they were their own family. Massillon is just one of our wonderful communities. Having successfully delivered CPD to funeral celebrants for over 6 years we now also train funeral celebrants from scratch 🎉We spent a long time resisting the urge to do this - there are a lot of celebrant training organisations out there, did we want to add ourselves to the list?🤔But, people kept coming and asking if they could train with us - they'd done their research and could see that what we offered was very different to other courses - our expectations of and for our funeral celebrants are very different. We aren't encouraging a 'get as many funerals as you can' mindset. We don't want you to be reliant on funeral directors for your work - we encourage you to take control of your own destiny. We don't want you to view funerals as something that only happens at the crematorium or graveside to a set, templated format. Rather, we see each funeral as a blank canvas to be filled in with the rich colours of a person's life. And, believe us, this can be literally anything from a New Orleans style jazz celebration, to a quietly contemplative natural burial to a back-garden gathering - yes, with the coffin there. ❤️Our celebrant training is part of our whole ethos - the desire we feel to make funerals a better experience for everyone, the passion we have to make people aware of all the wonderful choices available to them and the drive we have to make every funeral right for the person who has died and their people, no matter what that might look like♥️If you'd like to build a business with solid foundations based on knowledge, choice, compassion, empathy and creativity - then welcome aboard! We offer realistic expectations and ongoing support with strategies to grow into the kind of funeral celebrant you, and you alone, want to be♥️Kate & Kate are funeral celebrants - they don't just preach what they teach they live it. They share their journey with you whilst handing out the map so you, too, can plan your own way forward♥️If you'd like to become a funeral celebrant join us on Wednesday at 7.15pm to find out more and if you're already a funeral celebrant, join us Wed at 6pm. www.coffinclub.co.uk.#celebranttraining #howtobecomeafuneralcelebrant#celebranttraininguk

🌟 Humble brag alert! 🌟 Before we end January, I wanted to take a moment and publicly congratulate my team, our brokerage and all of our amazing agents for the work they did in 2023. 👏 It was a unique and challenging year in so many ways. Our agents doubled-down their efforts and their focus, and continued to grow against the industry hurdles. 💪 While we are very proud of our accomplishments, we have a #BOLD law that we live by... "Do not compare your insides, to other people's outsides." 🙌 After almost a decade of training, consulting and coaching real estate business owners, I'm here to say NO ONE has the same goal or the same purpose. 🎯 Knowing what you want in life and WHY you want it, is vital for true success. 🏆 Numbers are great for tracking progress, but they do not define who you are or what you stand for. 🙏 Let's celebrate more of the small wins together in 2024... In about three weeks the National Funeral Exhibition 2024 opens. Now is a great time to look at key platforms for your Funeral business and ensure you look your very best online:1. Google Business Profile: Your Digital Front Door:As families search for funeral services, having a well-optimised Google Business Profile ensures you appear in local search results. This platform is essential for providing quick access to your contact details, services, and reviews. Tip: Update your profile with recent photos, detailed service descriptions, and encourage satisfied families to leave reviews. This visibility can significantly increase local enquiries.2/3. Facebook and Instagram: Building Community and Connection:These platforms offer vast user bases, ideal for sharing stories, events, and educational content. Tip: Use Facebook to post updates about upcoming events, grief support resources, and community involvement. On Instagram, share visually appealing content like memorial service setups or behind-the-scenes glimpses. Consistent posting and interaction with your audience can build a strong, supportive online community.4. LinkedIn: Professional Networking and Growth:LinkedIn is crucial for connecting with peers and showcasing your professional expertise. Tip: Regularly post articles, industry insights and updates about your services. A well-crafted LinkedIn profile can lead to valuable partnerships and recognition in the industry.5. TikTok: Humanising Your Brand:TikTok’s dynamic platform allows you to demystify funeral services and create a relatable image. Tip: Create short, authentic videos that provide a glimpse into your daily operations, explain different aspects of funeral planning or share heartfelt stories. These engaging videos can help break down misconceptions and build a more approachable brand image.➡ Ahead of the National Funeral Exhibition 2024:Make sure your digital presence is active and engaging. Each platform offers unique benefits. By optimising your profiles and sharing meaningful content, you can significantly enhance your impact and reach. Any questions do let me know and I'll see you at NFE in Hall 2, Stand 225. @highlightI believe in people's goodness and that some people want to help in ways that significantly impact the lives of others. That's why I'm asking for your support of our fundraiser, Her Last Bow: https://lnkd.in/dmjUnvVxIf you have ever had to bury your mother or mother figure, you know how painstakingly difficult it is to select a final outfit befitting of your loved one's final viewing. If you have not experienced this yet, you are fortunate, and one day, you will. What is more heartbreaking is that one day, someone will make that decision about you. We want to ease the financial burden for women who may not have the resources to bury their mother in the attire they wish to see their mother in one last time. If this pulls at your human heart, allow yourself a moment of compassion to donate to our fundraiser. Donations are tax-deductible. Your help can also consist of sharing this information with others. I want to acknowledge my long-time sister-friend Deborah A. Hoodfor sharing this with her generous friends and followers. Thank you so much, Deb. It made a difference. In closing, if you need additional reasons to donate, here are seven valid reasons why donating matters. Thank you for reading this.Thank you for sharing this.Thank you for donating to our fundraiser. Making a Difference: Donating to charitable causes allows individuals to directly impact the lives of those in need, whether providing grief journals and funds for burial clothing, food, and shelter for people experiencing homelessness, funding medical research, or supporting education initiatives. It's an opportunity to be part of positive change in the world.Creating Meaningful Change: Charitable donations can create meaningful and lasting change in communities worldwide. Whether they fund sustainable development projects, support environmental conservation efforts or aid disaster relief; donations contribute to building a better future for everyone.Setting an Example: By donating to charitable causes, individuals set an example for others. Their actions inspire friends, family, and colleagues to contribute to causes they care about, amplifying the impact of their generosity.Building Stronger Communities: Charitable donations strengthen communities by supporting local organizations and initiatives that address community needs. By investing in their communities, individuals help create a more resilient and supportive environment for everyone.Creating a Legacy of Generosity: Charitable giving allows individuals to leave a lasting legacy of generosity and philanthropy. Whether through monetary donations, volunteering, or fundraising efforts, their contributions make a positive impact beyond their lifetime, leaving a meaningful mark on the world.
