Did you know that vaccines undergo the greatest amount of scrutiny for both safety and efficacy during development, and even after they are introduced to the public? In addition to this scrutiny, there are also a few requirements specific to the successful conduct of clinical trials for vaccines against infectious diseases. It's due to this high standard of safety that vaccinations are estimated to prevent between 2 and 3 million deaths globally each year.We have some great news: Our new partnership with Headlands Research is allowing us to offer vaccine studies beginning in 2024!If you would like to take part in a vaccine study, please join our volunteer database at myAMCR.comWe can make a difference in improving healthcare, together!Learn more: https://bit.ly/3ZbxS07....#myAMCR #HeadlandsResearch #ClinicalResearch #ClinicalResearchTrials #ClinicalResearchSite #ClinicalTrialSites #VaccineStudies #Vaccinations #VaccinationResearch #VaccineSafety #VaccineDevelopment

Meningitis can affect anyone, anywhere at any time but certain groups, such as newborns and children under five, are at greatest risk. There are vaccines which protect against the most common types. But in the UK in 2021-22, vaccine uptake of vaccines in children under 5 fell and no vaccine met the WHO European region’s 95% target for coverage.Making sure that children take up all the vaccines available to them protects our young people as they make their way in the world. Each vaccine received gives children every chance to grow and flourish, saving lives now and in the years to come and providing the chance to experience all of life's important moments. 💜Now is the time to check you are up-to-date with your vaccinations. Vaccination is important at every stage of life. For people preparing to have a child, vaccinations are even more critical to protect both your own health and the health of your future child. Flu, Tdap and COVID-19 vaccines are recommended for pregnant women by theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)– but difficulty accessing vaccination coupled with the spread of misinformation have left many people and their newborns vulnerable. According to theCDC, only 22.6% of women with a recent live birth had receivedboththe flu and Tdapvaccines,a 26% decrease from the prior reporting year. Some of the mostimportant factorsthat influence vaccination completion among pregnant women is when providers offer the vaccinations during a person’s visit, or refer to a separate location that can provide needed vaccines– such asCVS Pharmacyand#MinuteCliniclocations. As we enter#fluseason, our CVS pharmacists and MinuteClinic nurse practitioners are ready to administer seasonal flu vaccines for people of all ages, as well asimmunizations for women across life stages – such as Tdap, flu and COVID-19 vaccinesrecommended for pregnant women, Zoster vaccines (shingles) for older women, andHPVvaccines for younger women.Learn more about how we’re bolstering the health of our communities this flu season:https://lnkd.in/eWNV-a7v

A new FIP campaign to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of vaccination among vulnerable groups through community pharmacies is launched today. Under the banner “Let’s talk about vaccines!”, FIP has produced a suite of freely available evidence-based materials aimed at pharmacy teams and the public. These provide education on and promote awareness of specific vaccines and highlight the benefits of vaccinations for groups at higher risk from vaccine-preventable diseases, such as older adults, people living with chronic diseases and people who are pregnant.“Pharmacists can play an important role in actively promoting vaccination, building vaccine confidence and increasing vaccine coverage, which leads to benefits to individuals’ health and quality of life, and for our healthcare systems and societies,” said Gonçalo Sousa Pinto, FIP lead for practice development and transformation. The “Let’s talk about vaccines!” resources are available here 👉 https://lnkd.in/encvW45V#LetsTalkAboutVaccines #Pharmacists #Vaccination
